There is one week left to fund this project!

For the past five years, The Great Burlesque Exposition has hosted one of the largest and most informative displays of burlesque costuming in the United States.  The difficult part has always been seeing the exhibit; since it was only set up as part of the annual 3-day event, like a shooting star it was there and then gone.  Many burlesque fans and scholars wanted more time with the costumes – and a larger exhibit.

We're pleased to partner with The West End Museum of Boston.  The museum is delighted to host an expanded version of our costume exhibit for a month, beginning a few days after The Great Burlesque Exposition.  From April 10, 2012 through May 12, 2012 the costumes will be on display in an appropriate location: a museum dedicated to the Boston neighborhood which encompassed Scollay Square, Boston's original burlesque district.

One of the benefactors of The West End Museum has pledged to match our fund drive, dollar for dollar, if we can raise over $500.00 – that's where you come in.  We need these funds to transport and insure these unique and historical costumes; license images of vintage burlesque costumes and performers; and purchase the display accessories which will allow us to showcase these beautiful pieces in the manner in which they deserve to be shown.

Admission to this exhibit will be free while it is housed The West End Museum.  A portion of the funds go towards providing free access to these wonderful pieces of Americana.

Please, PLEASE vote and repost this today!
Hi all!
Today is the VERY LAST DAY to vote for me to be in the Viva Las Vegas Burlesque competition. Anything can happen to knock me out of the competition before 1AM Eastern Time, so it is not only important to vote yourself, but to post this and obnoxiously email all of your friends about it! Also, I wanted to post the rules because it will be VERY EASY TO ELIMINATE ME, and i do NOT want that happening. So here they are:

Voting will close at midnight Central Time (10pm Pacific) on January 31st.

The system is now set for one vote per email address and IP address. That means you can only vote once from a computer and you cannot use your email address to vote on two computers.

When a vote is placed, an email will be sent to the voter and they must click on the link to confirm the vote before it will show on the site. This email may take a few minutes to arrive depending on the internet service providers.

Using a program to generate email addresses and IP addresses will result in immediate elimination of me from this competition, so please, no matter how much you want me to get in, don't do it!

I am super excited to get to do this and would not be able to do so without your help, so PLEASE pass this along and forgive me while i promote the hell out of myself, and please forward this to everyone you know, for it is the masses that will send a Southern gal to compete!

Now - here is where you go to vote (make sure you click on me, URSULA UNDRESS)
